CARMINE R. ALAMPI:

Carmine R. Alampi is recognized by his peers as a leading expert in "land use" law. Carmine graduated with a Bachelors degree from Saint Peter's College in 1974; received a J. D. in 1977 from Seton Hall University School of Law; and, in 1992 received a Certification as a Diplomate in Municipal Government Law from Rutgers University.

Mr. Alampi is currently the managing member of the Law Office of Carmine R. Alampi, LLC. His practice in all facets of municipal legal representation, local government legal representation and land use has led to the Firm's appointment as county outside legal counsel, borough attorney, general counsel to housing authorities, boards of education attorney, construction board of appeals attorney, municipal prosecutor, municipal public defender, municipal tax appeal counsel, zoning and planning board attorney, as well as special counsel relating to municipal police discipline.

Carmine R. Alampi is admitted to practice in all courts in New Jersey, the United States District Court of New Jersey and Supreme Court of the United States.

MICHAEL F. DE MARRAIS:

Michael F. De Marrais is a life long resident of Bergen County. He has over 40 years of litigation experience in both the Superior Court of New Jersey and the Federal Courts.

Michael graduated from Colgate University, and earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Rutgers Law School. At Rutgers he was selected to and published in the Rutgers Law Review; and, was the research assistant for Rutgers Professor Ruth Bader Ginsburg (now Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court).

Upon graduation Mr. De Marrais served a Judicial Clerkship with the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court. He subsequently obtained a Masters of Labor Law from New York University.

Following service in the army, he began practicing law in Bergen County. Mr. De Marrais' career has been devoted to the representation of clients who are asserting or defending their rights, which representation frequently requires filing of a law suit - "litigation". His success in the court room has made Michael F. De Marrais one of the top litigation attorneys in New Jersey.

THOMAS A. LODATO:

Thomas A. Lodato received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Farleigh Dickinson University in 1979. He earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Touro College School of Law in New York in 1986. Thomas was admitted to the bar association of Pennsylvania (1987), New Jersey (1988) and the District of Colombia (1990). Tom is currently an elected Councilman in the Borough or Bergenfield.

Mr. Lodato is a highly respected attorney who has practiced law in northern New Jersey for 25 years. He has served as the Public Defender in Bergenfield and Leonia; as Prosecutor in Fairlawn and Bogota; and as the Board of Adjustment Attorney and Planning Board Attorney for Bergenfield. He currently is the Public Defender for the Borough of Fairview.

Tom is instrumental in the preparation of commercial leases and various applications before government agencies. His attention to detail and meticulous preparation of documents offers our clients a high degree of personal service regarding business transactions.

SANTO T. ALAMPI:

Santo T. Alampi received his Bachelor of Science, Administration of Justice in 2001 from Rutgers University in New Jersey, with a minor in Political Science and history. In 2005 Santo earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from California Western School of Law in San Diego.

Santo is a highly respected integral part of the team at Alampi and De Marrais. Mr. Alampi has made hundreds of appearances before Zoning Boards and Planning Boards throughout northern New Jersey and is already recognized as an expert in land use development. Santo has litigated many cases regarding construction defects/claims and commercial disputes among partners and/or shareholders. He has extensive experience in Litigation and uses a “no-nonsense style”, relying upon hard work and thorough preparation. Santo brings these elements to be successful at the negotiation table.

Santo has previous working experience with Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office in New Brunswick. He is currently the Prosecutor for the Borough of North Arlington; and the Attorney for the Planning Board of the Borough of Garfield.
